"Remember the glory days of vinyl-when the packaging could be
nearly as spectacular as the music? the era of gatefold and die-cut covers with inserts, booklets, and the other gimmickry?
The CD era is just beginning to reinvent imaginative packaging, and much of it comes from the realm of experimental music. Autopsia´s digipak comes with a thick cardboard appliequé embossed and die-cut with a window in which one finds a replica of an ancient woodcut plus a lovely booklet sitting in a special pocket. Fortunately for the group, the curious but effective mixture of industrial noise, electronics, ambient music and minimalism does not suffer by comparsion. The first of the four tracks, "Does the Knife Cry When It Enters the Skin?" is a brooding work that includes the mysterious and menacing sounds of Tibetan chanting in addition to dark percussive and electronic sounds that are looped and repeated, along with other layers of somber electronics. The total effect is intense and foreboding, yet compelling. "His Secret Sin" is much more aggresive, with loopy dance rhythms and industrial but musical electronics.

Lange genug hat man auf die Wiederveröffntlichung der ersten Autopsia-Aufnahme (die zugleich die erste Veröffentlichung des Staalplaat-Labels war) warten müssen. Um die zwei 93er Bonustracks "Behind Closed Doors" und "Rosarium Moris" angereichert, die die Faszinatioun für klassische Musik deutlich machen, bringt es die im edlen Digipack verpackte Mini-CD nun auf knapp 29 Minuten, die allerdings auch zu den besten in der langjährigen Geschichte des jugoslawischen, nun in Prag ansässigen Projekt gehören
Vor allem "Behind Closed Doors" weist einen verspielten Charakter auf, verzückt mit leichten Pianoklängen, die shließlich in dialogischer Weise von schweren Synthisounds ergänzt werden. Dagegen wirkt "Rosarium Moris" trotz ähnlicher Instrumentierung auf Grund des stakkatohaften Klaviereinsatzes aufwühlender, und die stärkere Rhythmik trägt ihren Teil dazu bei. Von dieser Orginalität möchte man sich mehr bei Autopsia wünschen, und die liebevolle Gestaltung des Booklets sollte ebenso Schule machen.
